After taking two out of three from the Red Sox at home, the O’s travel to play the White Sox in Chicago. Two of three on the road would be nice from a struggling White Sox team.
Decent lineup looking at it straight up. Quentin has been hitting the ball extremely well as of late, as has Konerko. Tough 3-4 combo to beat.
Danks has been the hard-luck loser so far this season, sporting an 0-3 record even with rather impressive numbers. High strikeout pitcher, O’s need to string together some hits though to try and get the ball out of a very friendly hitter’s park.
Leaves a lot of his pitches up and is not good with getting ground balls. Very good change up and cutter though and usually doesn’t make mistakes with those pitches.
Vlad went yard in yesterday’s game, but not much more offense. Orioles need to pick up the offense today and help out Arrieta.
Arrieta was wonderful in his last outing against the Yankees, striking out nine. If he can get that off speed pitch working like he did last time, he could be brilliant.
Good swing and miss stuff and if he commands his curve ball well, it’s fantastic. Pretty solid fastball, clocking in around 93 MPH.
*The PitchF/X stats for Arrieta showed the same data as it did from before his last outing against the Yankees. Therefore, nothing has changed from the graph.
