O’s Look To Avoid The Sweep In New York

The Orioles lost again last night, getting trounced 9-1. The team has dropped 7 in a row, and looks to avoid the sweep in a day game in New York today against the Yankees. The pitching match-up is Kevin Millwood vs. The Big Sleep, CC Sabathia. Likely no coverage of that one here, but it’ll mark the one-third point of the season (54 games) and I’m looking to get a team/player report card out early next week. Things are going terribly for the O’s right now, with a 15-38 record that’s worst in the majors and only 5 runs scored total in the last 5 games*. There is still some hope for the future though.

* At least they’re not the Astros, who have a .276 wOBA as a team (Cesar Izturis’ career mark). Yikes.
