Game 116: Orioles 5, Rays 0

The Good:

* Jeremy Guthrie stayed on a roll, despite a relatively small strike-zone. Final line; 6 IP, 2 H, o R, 4 BB, 3 K. His seasonal ERA is down to 3.88. If only there was a team out there who thought he was really that good and was willing to give up a couple quality prospects for him.

* Luke Scott had a perfect 3-3 day, with a walk and a laser home run

* Felix Pie went 3-4 with two doubles and a stolen base. He also extended his streak of putting the ball in play to 58 straight plate appearances, putting him one behind Brooks Robinson for the Orioles’ record (per Dempsey’s Army). Sure the O’s are winning a bunch of games, but I’m more interested in an extremely obscure and pointless record! Why isn’t anyone else excited about this?!?

The Bad:

* 12 hits and 4 walks, but just 5 runs. They grounded into 3 double plays, and had a runner picked off.

The Final:

Another quality start, another win. That Buck Magic keeps working… 9-2 now.
